"SIM Not Supported": The Screen of Death Explained
You bought a new SIM card, inserted it, and your iPhone went back to the Hello screen with the message: "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy."
Cause: Carrier Lock (Sim-Lock)
Hardware Status: Working
Why is this happening?
This is not a hardware failure. Your iPhone is locked to a specific carrier (e.g., AT&T or T-Mobile), but you inserted a different SIM (e.g., Vodafone or Verizon). The iPhone asks Apple's server: "Can I use this SIM?" and the server says "No".
Solution 1: The Official Unlock (Permanent)
This is the only way to make the message disappear forever.
- Find out the Original Carrier (use our IMEI Check).
- Check if the device is "Clean" (not financed/blacklisted).
- Order a factory unlock service via our bot.
Solution 2: "Carrier Reveal" (If you don't know the carrier)
You cannot unlock the phone if you don't know who locked it. The error message does NOT tell you the carrier name.
Who Locked Your Phone?
The error message hides the carrier name. Our bot reveals it instantly.

Activation Policy
A digital rule set stored on Apple's servers (albert.apple.com). It dictates exactly which MCC/MNC (Mobile Country Codes) the iPhone is allowed to accept.
ICCID
Integrated Circuit Card Identifier. The unique serial number of your SIM card. "Turbo Sims" often use an ICCID exploit to bypass locks.
IMSI
International Mobile Subscriber Identity. The internal ID of the SIM user. Locked iPhones check the IMSI prefix to approve or reject the SIM.
